NAWBO names Sensory Technologies Women Business Owner of the Year
01.08.2007

The Indianapolis Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners awarded Sensory Technologies with the Women Business Owner of the Year 2006-2007 at the association’s Holiday Luncheon earlier today.  Anne Sellers, Managing Principal, accepted the award for Sensory Technologies in front of 500+ fellow business owners, guests, dignitaries, and politicians. “It is nice that the story of our merger and subsequent successes is recognized.  The Indianapolis NAWBO Chapter is a big part of that success,” Sellers said.

Sensory Technologies was formed when a division of Markey’s Audio Visual teamed up with Video Images, LLC in March, 2006.  Sellers, former CEO of Video Images, was not the only founding female entrepreneur in this partnership.  Markey’s Audio Visual was established in 1959, also by a woman, Martelle Markey.  Sellers recognizes the path that Martelle paved for her and other women in business. “It’s easier for me today because of the courage and spirit of pioneers like Martelle,” Sellers said.

Today, Sensory Technologies assists companies in the integration of sound, imagery and environment. We provide collaboration and complete, turnkey services for design, engineering, and installation solutions. Our service offerings include videoconferencing system design, web streaming and distribution, sound and acoustic design, video and audio integration, and management of support services.
